The 2020 Aston Martin Vantage is a two-seater sports car manufactured by British luxury carmaker Aston Martin as a successor to the previous outgoing model, which has been manufactured for more than a decade. Aston Martin used the Vantage name on most vehicles, which usually indicates the high performance of the second version of the model. In past, the Vantage was a separate model, representing a version of a straight-six-drive Aston Martin DBS, the car that was launched as a straight-6, but by then was powered by a V8 engine. Visual cues include a unique 2-headlamp headlamp piston with a DB6-like grille.

It’s was also the last Aston Martin to be fitted with wire wheels. 2020 Vantage is based on a new architecture shared with the Aston Martin DB11 and uses propulsion and infotainment technologies from Mercedes-Benz as well as the Aston Martin DB11.

2020 Aston Martin Vantage Design

The design of the new Vantage is inspired by the track-only Aston Martin Vulcan and the dedicated Aston Martin DB10 that appeared in the James Bond Specter movie. The front grille, especially inspired by the Vulcan, helps cool the engine efficiently. The Vantage interior configuration differs from the Aston Martin DB11 in many ways other than seating capacity, such as the center console design.

Although the DB11’s central compact controls are quite intuitive and roomier in terms of key/switch layout, Vantage’s devices look more compact and lack the optical drive, as well as separate temperature displays for automatic climate control. For weight savings purposes, the Vantage also loses its passenger glove compartment and maintains a simple center console design.

2020 Aston Martin Vantage Performance

The 2020 Vantage is equipped with Mercedes-AMG’s M177 4-liter twin-turbo V8 that develops 503 hp (375 kW; 510 hp) and 505 lb-ft (685 N·m), as well as the Mercedes COMAND system. Vantage can accelerate from 0-100 km/ h (0-62 mph) in 3.6 seconds and reach a top speed of 314 km / h (195 mph). The engine was positioned as far back as possible with the chassis, and with the car, a 50/50 front / rear weight distribution was achieved. Vantage is also the first Aston Martin production car to have an electronically controlled torque vector differential built on the same new aluminum platform as the DB11, although about 70% of its components are said to be unique to Aston Martin 2020 Vantage.

2020 Aston Martin Vantage Safety

The Vantage 2020 model is equipped with a means to predict and/or detect unwanted burglary into the vehicle. The vehicle is equipped with ignition to disable devices that will prevent the engine from starting if the correct original manufacturer key is not used. Vantage’s Tech package consists of blind-spot monitoring, self-parking systems, and other amenities. The front and rear parking sensors are standard and no surround camera system is available for 2020 Aston Martin Vantage Roadster.
