The 2020 Chrysler 200 is a four-door, mid-size family sedan that comes with top-of-the-line handling, a sophisticated AWD system, and incredible interior. In the past, the name was also applied to a two-door convertible, and before that, the same model line was known as the Sebring. During the Detroit show, Chrysler suggested that the Chrysler 200 and Dodge Dart may face a discount.
However, the 2020 Chrysler 200 will happen, at least for another year. On the other hand, the new model won’t bring too many upgrades. The Chrysler 200 also offers numerous packages and small items. The hybrid model is a rumor for now.
2020 Chrysler 200 Design
The Chrysler 200 comes with a sporty design that looks stylish and sleek. The coupe looks very cool and attractive. The four-door sedan now has a slightly larger front grille with a Chrysler badge in the middle. The projector headlights are again standard and Chrysler offers plenty of standard exterior features. 17-inch alloy wheels are still optional, along with rain-sensing wipers. On the other hand, power windows and a rearview camera are standard. Higher levels of equipment are very luxurious. Unfortunately, the Chrysler 200 should serve as inspiration for the car manufacturer’s upcoming sedans. But now, at this point, it seems like Chrysler will not build another sedan. SUVs and trucks simply dominate the market.
2020 Chrysler 200 Interior
When it comes to interior design, Chrysler is a well-known automaker who knows how to achieve a premium look. The style is perfect and the cabin is technologically rich and modern. The 2020 Chrysler 200 will be one such model. Sophisticated interior with lots of wood and leather material. On top of that, the interior looks very unique with satin finishes.
The energy-adjustable front seats are among the finest seats in the sedan segment. It also adds heated and cooled seats, and the feel inside is very premium. We cannot say that the interior of the space is sufficient, but it is certainly not small. 2020 will receive a brand new infotainment system and possibly a new and larger display. Safety is also high, thanks to adaptive cruise control, a stop and go system, blind-spot monitoring, and an electronic parking brake.
2020 Chrysler 200 Engine
The upcoming 2020 Chrysler 200 will offer the same two powertrain options as before. Customers can literally choose between fuel economy and performance data. If you’re a fuel-efficient person, a standard 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine might be a perfect choice, the engine produces 185 hp and 175 lb-ft of torque. The fuel savings are estimated at 23 mpg in the city and 36 mpg on the highway. On the other hand, the optional 3.6-liter V6 Pentastar engine delivers 295 horsepower and 262 lb-ft of torque. Fuel economy is much lower, 18 mpg in the city and 28 mpg on the highway. Both units are available with a 9-speed automatic transmission.
2020 Chrysler 200 Safety
Available safety equipment includes forward braking warnings with emergency braking, lane departure warning and prevention, and blind-spot monitors with rear cross-traffic warnings. A rear-facing camera is standard, but most other features are only offered on the high-end model. The line consists of five models: LX, Touring, Limited Platinum, 200S, and 200C Platinum.
The 2020 Chrysler 200S gets a sportier look that includes fog lights, larger 18-inch wheels, sports suspension, and other upgrades. Meanwhile, the high-end 200C adds such benefits as dual-zone automatic climate control, heated front seats, heated steering wheel, 7-inch configurable instrument panel display, and remote start. The 2020 Chrysler 200 receives top safety ratings, including a total of five stars from NHTSA and top safety selection from IIHS.
