The 2020 Opel Grandland X or 2020 Vauxhall Grandland X is a compact crossover SUV, which was officially unveiled by German manufacturer Opel at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September 2017, and went on sale in September. 2020 Grandland X is based on the PSA EMP2 platform and is therefore closely linked to the second-generation Peugeot 3008. In the UK, it is marketed as the Vauxhall Grandland X.  The Opel Grandland X replaces the Opel Antara, and from August 2019 also replaces the Opel Zafira. Currently sold in Europe and South Africa. When it comes to trunk space, the Opel 2020 Grandland X is behind the Tiguan.

Inside the Opel Grandland X dashboard looks traditional, with little surprise, and the look is intuitive which inevitably makes the cabin less recognizable than the one the Peugeot 3008 likes. The plastic in the Vauxhall mostly feels comfortable and soft. , but the build quality is mixed, you can easily shake the center console, and the center cable cover feels light. Inside, the Grandland X has enough space in front and enough space for a six-foot passenger to sit behind a similarly tall driver.

Accordingly, the Vauxhall is not as good at driving three passengers in the back seats as the slightly wider Volkswagen Tiguan. When it comes to trunk space, the 2020 Vauxhall Grandland X is behind the Tiguan. That’s not to say the Vauxhall’s trunk isn’t big enough – it swallows prams and large suitcases with ease – but the VW has about 100 liters more, which can be as much as the extra person’s luggage.

Loaded to the top, the Vauxhall Grandland X feels best with one of two diesel engines. Powerful traction at low revs and the muted nature of the smaller 1.5-liter diesel make the louder and more attractive 2.0-liter a little unnecessary expense – unless you do a lot of traction. If you’re going to spend most of your time driving around town, then the awesome and cheaper 1.2-liter gasoline is worth considering. The Grandland X is not available with all-wheel drive, but you can single out the All Road package which adds special mud and snow tires and selected driving modes according to driving conditions. Equipped with the All Road package, the Grandland X will give you peace on slippery roads.
